After two consecutive losses in Cyprus to Serbia and Israel, the Greek national team bounced back against Montenegro, winning 69-61 on the road to FIBA EuroBasket 2025.

Despite being without Giannis Antetokounmpo, who still hasn’t debuted this summer under head coach Vassilis Spanoulis, Greece had an easy evening to take down the Balkan opponents.

Dinos Mitoglou led the way for his country by flirting with a double-double at 20 points and 9 rebounds; on the other side, Nikola Vucevic had a 13-point losing effort with 7 rebounds.

Following their tight win against Sweden, Poland continued on a good note on the way to co-hosting the most anticipated event of the summer, beating Georgia 94-89.

Michal Michalak and Tomasz Gielo combined for 33 points in the Polish national team’s victory, while AS Monaco’s Jordan Loyd followed with 15 points and 4 assists.

On the losing end, the experienced center Giorgi Shermadini concluded with 18 points, while Goga Bitadze and Sandro Mamukelashvili combined for 29 points.
