Turkey shuts down Czechia without Sengun

Turkey defeated the Czech Republic 79 – 65 to conclude the Turkish Airlines SuperCup tournament held in Munich before the EuroBasket.

Ercan Osmani (13 points, eight rebounds), Cedi Osman (12 points) and Yigit Saybir (10 points) scored in double figures from Turkey that won perhaps easier than what the final score shows despite the absence of star center Alperen Sengun.

Turkey closed halftime up 41 – 29 and then led 61 – 41 early in the fourth period. The Czech side erased some of that margin but never approached close than 12 points.

Vit Krejci stood out from Czechia with 14 points. His team was again without captain Tomas Satoransky.
