Slovenia improves to a 4-0 record in the Eurobasket 2017, while Iceland falls to 0-4 in Group A. The final score says it all: 75-102. Slovenia is now waiting to play the decisive game for the first place vs France tomorrow (14.45 local time), provided that the French beat Poland.

The first quarter of the game was competitive as Iceland was up by five points (25-20). The second quarter, however, was a different story. Slovenia went on a run that increased their lead to 17 points at the half (60-43). Nothing changed after that as Slovenia finally got the 27-point win.

The star: Goran Dragic was once again the star of the game with 21 points. Luka Doncic was also effective with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Prepelic added 14 points.

Quality gap: The first quarter, was a competitive quarter but from the start of the second quarter, Slovenia showed that they are on another level, and went on a run that changed the entire game. Once more Iceland despite being feisty didn’t bring much more to the table.

Not enough: Martin Hermannsson was effective for Iceland as he scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Haukur Palsson added 16 points for the losers.
