Vladimir Micov says he’s been in contact with Partizan

EuroLeague veteran swingman Vladimir Micov said that there have been contacts between his side and Partizan Belgrade. Micov is a free agent after finishing the season with Olimpia Milano.

“I can say that certain contacts exist but for now there’s nothing concrete so that I can say that I received an offer and that someone invited me [to the team]. But I repeat, there are some specific contacts,” Micov said to MaxBet Sports.

“I’ve always said that I’m a Partizan [fan],” Micov added. “I didn’t hide so I won’t do it now. I also said that if there’s a match, I’ll gladly come to Partizan, but I have no desire to come and just be there. I don’t want to come to a club I love just to take some money. I want to be there and help and I think I can help. I’m 36 years old but I feel great and I’m completely healthy.”

If these contacts that Micov mentions become an offer and then maybe an agreement, then he will join his former Milano teammate Kevin Punter. The latter signed a lucrative contract with Partizan some days ago to become the team’s first major addition in the new Zeljko Obradovic era.

“I follow the situation in Partizan, I see that several players left the club,” Micov said. “My former teammate Kevin has arrived, and now I don’t know if I’m on that list of reinforcements and who I am in order. I also have some offers abroad, I will see how everything goes.”

Micov has played 246 games over 10 seasons in EuroLeague with Baskonia, Cantu, CSKA Moscow, Galatasaray and Milano. He has a career average of 9.7 points (on 41.9 percent 3-point shooting) and 2.9 rebounds.
