A few hours after officially signing Daniel Hackett, Virtus Bologna returned to its 7DAYS EuroCup duties after nearly three weeks to take down Frutti Extra Bursaspor with a 98-94 win at home in their Round 10 makeup game.

The Italians overcame a 37-point showdown by Bursaspor’s Andrew Andrews to move up to a 7-6 record in Group B. Andrews was unstoppable on all ends, dropping 6 out of 11 from the three-point line, while also grabbing 4 rebounds, 3 steals.

Mam Jaiteh had a season-best performance for Virtus with 23 points and three rebounds, Kyle Weems emerged with 18 points and Isaia Cordinier dropped 17 points and 6 rebounds.

Milos Teodosic also made his EuroCup return after remaining sidelined since last December, adding 9 points and a game-high 13 assists for his squad.

Andrews’ impact on the game was strong, though it couldn’t carry Bursaspor to an upset down the final stretch. Onuralp Bitim tapped 19 points, 4 rebounds while Derek Needham had 17 points, as the Turkish side drops to a 4-8 record but still keeps an eye on the playoffs zone.
