Bursaspor holds off Cedevita, marches to semifinals

Bursaspor pushed back a major Cedevita Olimpija comeback effort to win 85 – 83 in Ljubljana and advance to the EuroCup semifinals. This is the second straight road victory for Bursaspor in the knockout stages of the competition, after the one over Partizan Belgrade.

Cedevita erased a 14-point halftime deficit and could’ve come on top if Jacob Pullen was a bit quicker in taking his game-winning attempt. The veteran guard hit a 3-pointer that would’ve made 86 – 85 but the referees didn’t count the basket after watching the instant replay.

Derek Needham scored 20 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead Bursaspor while John Holland produced 16 points, seven rebounds and one of the best flash interviews ever. Onuralp Bitim finished with 14 points and six rebounds.

Yogi Ferrell dropped 20 points (13 in the final quarter), grabbed five rebounds and dished out five assists for Cedevita. Pullen had 15 points.
