The shooting talents of Kyle Guy are on the move and are likely to be displayed in the 7DAYS EuroCup.

Guy, 24, is nearing a deal to join Joventut, as first reported by Gerard Sole. The team located in Badalona is preparing to play in EuroCup, the second-tier competition of Euroleague Basketball, and in Spain’s Liga Endesa. Possibly securing the services of the Virginia product would clearly signal intentions for extended runs at the European and domestic levels.

Coming out of college as the NCAA champion and Final Four MVP, the explosive guard was picked up by the New York Knicks with the 55th overall selection and traded to the Sacramento Kings. Since turning pro, he logged 53 games played in the NBA combining brief stints at the Kings and most recently playing for the Miami Heat.

Career averages of 3.1 points, 1.0 rebounds, 0.9 assists, and 0.2 steals per game including 3.9 points per game over 19 appearances with the Heat last season. In a more favorable situation, he tallied 19.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per G League game over nine appearances, split between the Cleveland Charge and Sioux Falls Skyforce.

The arrivals of fellow former NBA players, French combo forward William Howard and American big man Henry Ellenson, have strengthened the Joventut squad coached by Carles Duran. Retaining Yannick Kraag, Pep Busquets, Pau Ribas, Albert Ventura, Guillem Vives, Andres Feliz, Simon Birgander, Joel Parra, and Ante Tomic keeps the majority of the team intact during the offseason.
