Promitheas officially adds former NBAer Joe Young

Promitheas Patras announced the addition of guard Joe Young for the 2022-23 season. Young will be debuting in Europe after stints in the NBA and China.

Per EuroCup Basketball:

Promitheas Patras added plenty of firepower to its roster by inking combo guard Joe Young to a one-year deal, the club announced Monday. Young (1.88 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Birmingham of the G League, where he averaged 18.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 46 games last season. His father, Michael Young, is considered one of the best scorers ever in European basketball and led Limoges CSP to the EuroLeague title in 1993.

 Young started his professional career with Indiana of the NBA and also played for Fort Wayne of the G League, as well as Nanjing Tongxi Monkey Kings and Beijing Royal Fighters of China. He led the 2019-20 Chinese League in scoring, averaging 38.3 points in 44 games with Nanjing, adding 4.7 rebounds, 6.4 rebounds and 2.3 steals. He is set to test his scoring skills in the 7DAYS EuroCup for the first time.
