Bursaspor stops Bourg, London Lions dominate in Hamburg

The earlier 15-point lead evaporated but Frutti Extra Bursaspor bounced back and secured the win, 89-80, against JL Bourg on the road Tuesday. The home side was previously undefeated in Group A of the 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season.

Scoring a season-high 20 points and also grabbing ten rebounds, Dave Dudzinski paved the way for the win in Ekinox. Zach Auguste produced a double-double as well, packing 19 points and ten rebounds. Anthony Clemmons paired 18 points with a game-high nine assists. For Bourg, James Palmer Jr. stood out with 20 points.

Overcoming a sluggish start in Germany, the London Lions notched an impressive win, 103-75, opposite Veolia Towers Hamburg in the lone Group B affair of the night. One-side traffic with Tomislav Zubcic delivering 22 points. Sam Dekker logged 19 points and Kostas Koufos put in 18 more points.

Umana Reyer Venezia gave up 25 points to Jamel Morris but edged 7Bet-Lietkabelis, 74-71, in the battle of 2-2 teams. Mitchell Watt was the top performer of the winning side with 19 points and eight rebounds, on the heels of accidentally injuring referee Piotr Pastusiak, who last a tooth in the initial jump ball.

Elsewhere in Round 5 resuming the EuroCup campaign following the two-week international break, Prometey added to the struggles of winless Cedevita Olimpija with a 94-89 victory in Arena Stozice. Gian Clavell and Caleb Agada both recorded 21 points, and D.J. Kennedy put in 20 points.
