Joe Young on the exit door of Promitheas with Thomasson possible replacement

On an unexpected move, Joe Young is on the verge of parting ways with Promitheas Patras with the club examining the possibility of adding Joe Thomasson.

Young is the top scorer of the 7DAYS EuroCup, however, under new coach Giannis Christopoulos who last month replaced Makis Giatras due to health-related personal issues of the former bench boss, it seems that the Greek club is moving in a different direction.

Young, who is averaging 23,4 ppg is expected to be a free agent soon, and considering his performance so far in the season, it will not be hard to find his next destination.

On the other hand, Thomasson left Zenit St. Petersburg recently and he proved last season with Manresa in the Spanish Liga Endesa and the Basketball Champions League that he is able to be a huge asset on this level.

It has also to be noted that while in the EuroCup things are looking good for Promitheas with a 5-4 record, in the Greek League the club is eighth in the standings with a 4-5 record.
