After winning on the road in the BKT EuroCup Regular Season Round 2 against Reyer Venice, Paris Basketball officially announced the incorporation of the 28-year-old French point guard Mehdy Ngouama, who spent the 2022-23 season between BCM Gravelines and Fuenlabrada.

“I am very happy to get involved with Paris Basketball. The little boy that I was and who previously wore this jersey, would be very proud to see how far we have come. I can’t wait to start the competition alongside my new teammates, who liven up and highlight Paris. Carpentier, I can’t wait to see you again”, the new addition said on the French club’s official website.

After completing the whole preseason camp with Paris Basketball, head coach Tuomas Iisalo welcomed him with open arms. “With so many games on the schedule, we decided it was necessary to have more depth in the squad at the moment. Mehdy [Ngouama]has been training with us since pre-season so his signing was a logical next step. He understands our team culture and adapts to our style of play. So I am very satisfied”, the Finnish commented on Mehdy Ngouama.

Before heading to the French capital, he already represented the jerseys of Denain, Vichy-Clermont, AS Monaco, Souffelweyersheim, Nanterre 92, and Le Portel in France. Last year, he had 7.2 points and 2.6 assists per game in the LNB, growing up in the ACB by averaging 8.1 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in Fuenlabrada.
