The London Lions advanced to the quarterfinals of a European competition for the first time in the history of the club by defeating Turk Telekom 100 – 77 in the knockout stage of the EuroCup eighthfinals.

Turk Telekom, the 2023 EuroCup finalists, couldn’t hold back the Lions’ effective offense and were also unable to keep up with it. Tyrone Wallace led them team with 25 points and James Palmer dropped 16 points.

The Lions actually had 60 of their points at halftime to go to the locker room ahead 60 – 44. Turk Telekom cut that deficit a bit to make it 68 – 57 halfway through the third quarter but their opponents made an 11 – 0 run to expand their distance.

Turk Telekom’s efforts were shut down later in the fourth period when the Lions scored 11 unanswered points again to enter the last stretch of the game up 93 – 69.
