EA7 Milano is becoming the absolute example about Murphy’s law. Just before the start of Eurocup’s Last32 the team learned that they lost Robbie Hummel for the season and couldn’t get Leo Westermann from Limoges.

Hummel himself announced via instagram the following: “Bummed to say that I will be having surgery in New York tomorrow to fix my shoulder and won’t be able to play the rest of the season. Just wanted to say thanks to all the fans in Milan for being great all year. Look forward to seeing Olimpia have a great end to this season and I am looking towards getting back to the court ASAP!”.

As for Westermann, Limoges is not ready to release him yet, as “L’Equipe”‘s Arnaud Lecomte reported, because despite adding Bo McCalebb, the French champs need to make one more addition in order to let Leo go. As coach Philippe Herve said: “It’s not foreseeable to release Leo, because we haven’t completed yet our additions to the roster”.
