Following Dejan Radonjic’s departure from Bahcesehir, the Turkish club was expected to announce a new head coach to replace him on the bench.
Eventually, it led to Marko Barac, who left Mega Superbet in the ABA League to join the Turkish Basketball Super League semi-finalists.
For the first time in his coaching career, the 36-year-old talented head coach will move away from the ABA League to join another league.
Since 2022, the Serbian tactician has been at the helm of the young program in Mega, while from 2019 to 2022, he switched from assistant to head coaching duties at BC Igokea, in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Turkish club, born and appearing in the basketball scenes in 2017, won the FIBA Europe Cup in 2021-22, moving to the EuroCup for the first time this season, where they reached the Semi-Finals.
Most recently, they lost to EuroLeague and Turkish League reigning champions Fenerbahce in the Semi-Finals of the Turkish Basketball Super League, being swept 3-0.
