Christian Sengfelder penned a two-year contract to join ratiopharm Ulm. Following the Basketball Champions League and FIBA Europe Cup, the 30-year-old German power forward is set o debut in the BKT EuroCup. He was the first summer addition for Ulm.
“Ulm was my absolute dream club because for me it combines everything that is important: sporting ambitions, individual development, great fans and closeness to my family,” he said, “I can’t wait to put on the Ulm jersey and give it my all to achieve the club’s sporting goals.”
Another fresh face to the second tier of Euroleague Basketball, 24-year-old Nikos Chougkaz signed a two-year contract with Cedevita Olimpija, arriving from a brilliant 2024-25 journey with MoraBanc Andorra in Spain’s Liga Endesa. “I’m excited about the upcoming season, and I’m already working hard to be ready for all challenges. I can’t wait to meet everyone in Ljubljana,” mentioned the Greek forward.
Elsewhere in the EuroCup field, Turk Telekom added 25-year-old newcomer Michael Devoe. The Georgia Tech product played for Syntainics MBC last season, with his efforts being highlighted by being named Most Valuable Player in a 2024-25 BBL-Pokal championship run. The team based in Ankara also retained 28-year-old Berkan Durkmaz, a veteran of 64 EuroCup appearances.
Following two confirmations for the 2025-26 roster on Wednesday, Turk Telekom also signed 29-year-old Dogus Ozdemiroglu on Thursday. The experienced guard, after playing for Anadolu Efes in the 2024-25 edition of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, returns to the EuroCup after 29 games with Darussafaka, spread between the 2017-18 and 2019-20 journeys.
Venice gets Stefan Nikolic
A Belgrade native based in Italy throughout his professional career, 28-year-old Stefan Nikolic penned a multi-year contract with Umana Reyer Venice. A few years back, between the 2019-20 and 2020-21 campaigns, he logged nine EuroCup appearances with Virtus Segafredo Bologna.
Returning to the league after 69 games played between 2013 and 2020, 36-year-old Mindaugas Girdziunas inked a one-year contract extension with Neptunas. The experienced Lithuanian combo guard reunited with the Klaipeda outfit for a third stint in 2022.
