U-BT Cluj-Napoca officially added Nighael Ceaser on Thursday.
After 21 appearances in the Basketball Champions League over the last three years, split between his spell with ERA Nymburk and this season with Igokea m:tel, the 25-year-old winger took his talents to the BKT EuroCup, but will continue in the AdmiralBet ABA League. In his 2025-26 journey so far, he averaged 6.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per BCL contest, alongside 8.3 points per ABA contest.
The former Texas State standout launched his professional career in Finland before expanding to the aforementioned stops in Czechia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. The next challenge will follow after the ongoing FIBA window, dedicated to FIBA World Cup 2027 Qualifiers around the world.
At 4-4 in Group A of the EuroCup, the Romanian side is tied with three more teams between fourth place and two games away from the Quarterfinals seeds to elimination.
At 2-6 in Group B, one game away from the sixth seed leading to the Eighthfinals, Lietkabelis picked up 31-year-old Justas Furmanavicius on Friday. The fellow newcomer to the second tier of Euroleague Basketball carries continental experience in seven FIBA Europe Cup contests with Anwil Wloclawek and Jonava CBet. He penned a contract for the remainder of the season to replace Vytenis Lipkevicius, who is expected to be sidelined for five to six months due to a shoulder injury.
Resuming an 18-game double-legged round-robin schedule in the EuroCup Regular Season, Round 9 is scheduled to be played next Thursday and Friday.
