Two of the best teams of BKT EuroCup’s Group A clashed in a game that, despite what the final scoreboard might suggest, was very tight and decided on the fourth quarter.
Malachi Flynn (18 points) and Tyler Cavanaugh (13 points) were huge for the home team, but it was Trevion Williams who shone brighter than everyone else: 22 points and 15 rebounds for the big man.
Mitchell Creek (13 points) was the guests top scorer, but his good performance was not enough for the Romanian team.
After thirty minutes of a very close game, it looked like Cluj-Napoca had a small advantage.
Starting the last ten minutes with 58-62 on the scoreboard was good news, but everything changed very soon.
A 15-0 run gave Bahcesehir control of the game (73-62), with Kenan Sipahi having some great minutes, and the Turkish team had no problem managing that lead until the end of regulation.
Byrce Jones (20 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists) had an amazing game to give Aris Thessaloniki Betsson a very much needed win against Umana Reyer Venice.
The blowout of the round featured Turk Telekom Ankara and ratiopharm ulm. The Turkish team destroyed the German side, that only scored four points in the first quarter and had no chance to win the game.
