Taking his talents to Hapoel Midtown Jerusalem, Isaiah Mobley penned a contract until the end of the season with an option for an additional season. The signing of the 26-year-old power forward was announced on Sunday.
Mobley, a veteran of 23 NBA games between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers, started his 2025-26 journey at Glint Manisa. His first overseas experience went into nine appearances in the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi, packing 10.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.4 blocks, and 0.2 steals per contest, and leading to a move to the Israeli club. His next assignment includes his European club competition debut in the BKT EuroCup.
“I am happy to join a club that is clearly making huge strides towards the top of Europe. We have an excellent team, and I hope to fit in quickly and contribute in any area asked for. We have big goals this year, and I am sure we will achieve them with the help of the fans,” he mentioned about his move to the team coached by Yonatan Alon.
“Isaiah is a player with a diverse set of tools and the ability to contribute in several aspects of the game. He brings with him a combination of size, athleticism, and game understanding, and can play in several positions on the frontline,” said the play-caller of the Jerusalem outfit. “Beyond his abilities, we were impressed by his character and his hunger to improve and be part of a demanding system. Based on past lessons and last season’s injuries, we thought it would be right to strengthen the squad in order to meet our goals this year. We believe that he can fit well into the team and help us meet our goals.”
Leading Group A of the EuroCup Regular Season, Hapoel Jerusalem carries an 8-2 record. BAXI Manresa, three games away at 5-5 and sitting fourth, signed Ferran Bassas and Eli Brooks for the rest of the season on Sunday.
The 33-year-old point guard bounces back in the second tier of Euroleague Basketball after 65 appearances between Dreamland Gran Canaria and Joventut Badalona, including the 2022-23 championship run with the team based in Las Palmas.
After starting his 11th ACB campaign with MoraBanc Andorra, tallying 1.7 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per contest over seven appearances, he continues with the team coached by Diego Ocampo.
The 27-year-old point guard is a EuroCup newcomer. Earlier professional experience for Brooks stems from taking his talents to Italy in 2023, after one G League season, and spending the next two years in Germany.
At VET-CONCEPT Gladiators Trier to start his 2025-26 journey, the former Michigan standout averaged 16.4 points, 5.1 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game.
