JL Bourg achieved a victory in the third game of the BKT EuroCup Semifinal series, defeating Turk Telekom on their home court with a score of 94-78.
In this way, JL Bourg secured a spot in the grand final, despite trailing after the first game of the series. However, they managed to break through in Turkey and then easily triumphed on their home court.
Both Gach led the home team to victory with 21 points, Adam Mokoka added 15, while Darius McGhee contributed 13 points along with seven assists. On the other side, Jalen Smith was the best with 15 points, Jordan Usher added two less, and Kyle Alexander recorded 10.
In the first quarter, JL Bourg gained a double-digit lead (26-14), but Turk Telekom came back and then took the lead with a 13-0 run (37-34). However, the second half completely belonged to the French team. Little by little, the home team increased the lead, and with a 10-0 run in the middle of the last quarter, JL Bourg went to an unreachable 89-67.
In the grand final, the French team will face Besiktas, who defeated Bahcesehir with a 2-0 series win. Besiktas will have the home-court advantage, and interestingly, the two teams met in the group stage – Dusan Alimpijevic’s team won both times.
