Bahcesehir Koleji added a premier scoring threat to its backcourt ahead of the 2026–27 BKT EuroCup campaign by signing American guard Marcquise Reed. The deal was announced on Wednesday afternoon.

The 31-year-old veteran arrives with elite credentials, having captured Most Valuable Player honors of the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi Regular Season in each of the past two seasons. Reed has established himself as a dominant force in European basketball, showcasing exceptional offensive versatility and defensive instincts across multiple clubs in the region.

Last season with Trabzonspor, the dynamic playmaker led the BSL in scoring with an impressive 23.3 points per game and added 5.0 assists, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.9 steals. This stellar performance followed an equally remarkable tenure with Tofas, where he averaged a league-high 17.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game. His scoring prowess in Turkiye actually spans three consecutive seasons, ignited by a league-leading 21.1 points per game during the 2023–24 season with Onvo Buyukcekmece.

This move marks a return to the EuroCup for the well-traveled guard, who previously made five appearances with French side Nanterre 92 during the 2020–21 campaign. Reed’s extensive professional journey also features notable competitive stints with Roanne, BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque, Prometey in Ukraine, and Happy Casa Brindisi in Italy.

Elsewhere in the second tier of Euroleague Basketball, Neptunas recently finalized a one-year contract extension with veteran guard Mindaugas Girdziunas. The Klaipeda native remains a vital presence for his hometown club, coming off a solid season where he averaged 8.7 points.
