Aris and Panathinaikos have reached an agreement on a €1.2 million buyout for Vassilis Toliopoulos, according to Eurohoops sources.

Following PAOK’s withdrawal from the race, Aris remained the only club pursuing the 30-year-old Greek international, ultimately increasing its offer until both sides reached an agreement.

Toliopoulos, who is under contract with Panathinaikos through 2028, is expected to sign a three-year contract with Aris.

The experienced guard reportedly preferred a return to Thessaloniki, where he played between 2022 and 2025, believing he will have a more prominent role under Vassilis Spanoulis than in Panathinaikos’ crowded backcourt.

According to the same information, Toliopoulos’ three-year contract with Aris could be worth up to €4 million in total.
