Napoli has officially announced the signing of American point guard Jeff Dowtin for the 2026–27 season.
The 28-year-old arrives after spending the 2025–26 campaign with Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he made his EuroLeague debut and helped the Israeli powerhouse in both domestic and European competitions.
Dowtin averaged 8.1 points and 2.4 assists in 19 EuroLeague appearances, while posting 9.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per game in the Israeli Winner League.
Before moving to Europe, the 191-centimeter guard built an extensive résumé in the NBA and G League. After beginning his professional career with the Osceola Magic, he earned NBA opportunities with the Golden State Warriors, Orlando Magic, Toronto Raptors, and Philadelphia 76ers.
His strongest NBA stint came with Philadelphia, where he appeared in 41 games during the 2024–25 season, averaging seven points per contest. He also produced outstanding numbers in the G League throughout his career, including averages of 24.6 points with the Delaware Blue Coats while shooting better than 43 percent from three-point range.
A former University of Rhode Island standout, Dowtin was also a member of the USA Basketball squad that competed in the 2024 FIBA AmeriCup Qualifiers.
