Dolomiti Energia Trento has officially completed its roster for the upcoming BKT EuroCup campaign with the high-profile acquisition of Darius Brown II.
The 26-year-old guard finalized a one-year agreement on Wednesday, filling the ultimate summer priority for the Italian club. Standing out as his first professional venture overseas, the playmaker arrives after a brief stint with the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers and a robust run in the G League with the Cleveland Charge since turning pro in 2024. The backcourt talent puts the final touches on an ambitious offseason recruitment drive that already features Charles Brown Jr., Quincy Olivari, Isaiah Bigelow, Andrej Jakimovski, and Alessandro Bertini.
“Darius Brown has been a transfer priority for our project from the very beginning. We believe his leadership and playmaking skills are well-suited to European basketball. We’re thrilled he’s embraced our vision and are confident he’ll fit perfectly into the coaching program we’re developing,” explained head coach Alessandro Rossi.
Simultaneously, the EuroCup landscape witnessed a prominent roster movement in Turkiye, where Tofas secured 30-year-old forward Tre’Shawn Thurman. Moving back into Euroleague Basketball’s second-tier competition for the 2026–27 season, the veteran brings the experience of a productive two-year tenure with Wolves Twinsbet, where he made 37 appearances across two previous cycles.
At Bursa, he will be coached by newly appointed Massimo Cancellieri, who recently made the switch from Trento to the Turkish side. The tactician has rapidly overhauled his new squad, integrating Thurman alongside a heavily revamped lineup that includes fresh arrivals Leon Harun Apaydin, Gabe Brown, Terrell Carter II, Bryce Jones, Jamuni McNeace, Zach Nutall, and Shavar Reynolds Jr.
