Bahcesehir Koleji has welcomed Luka Mitrovic to the squad on Tuesday.

The Serbian forward arrived in Istanbul to bolster a roster assembled by head coach Sasa Djordjevic. The goal is straightforward. They want to win the BKT EuroCup and secure a place in the 2027–28 EuroLeague. Mitrovic joins a group that features Ismet Akpinar, Aleksa Avramovic, Tyler Cavanaugh, David DiLeo, Malachi Flynn, Furkan Haltali, Damien Inglis, Isiaha Mike, Can Maxim Mutaf, Mateusz Ponitka, Marcquise Reed, Kenan Sipahi, and Trevion Williams.

The 33-year-old Novi Sad native brings years of elite continental experience to Bahcesehir. While he returns to the second tier of Euroleague Basketball after making 21 appearances earlier in his career, he is best known for playing 197 EuroLeague games, mostly with Crvena Zvezda. Last season, he suited up for CSKA in the VTB United League. There, he averaged 5.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.7 assists over 40 games.

His journey has also touched the NBA. Back in 2015, the Philadelphia 76ers drafted him with the 60th and final pick. The Sacramento Kings later acquired his rights before trading them to the Los Angeles Clippers, though he never actually played in the league.

Now, his focus shifts to Turkiye. The Istanbul outfit has started the 2026–27 EuroCup Regular Season well, holding a 1–0 record in Group D. They look to carry that momentum on the road against Balkan Botevgrad on Wednesday. Domestically, a 2–0 start is tied with Anadolu Efes and Turk Telekom on top of the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi table.
