For one more season the Eurocup multi-winner shows why it is considered a heavy contender for the title. With five players scoring in double figures, Valencia 92 – 76 cruised past Khimki Moscow, made the 2-1 in the series and moved to the semfinals where it will meet Hapoel Jerusalem.

Bojan Dubljevic’s double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds paced the winners, along with the 17 points by Sam Van Rossom. Pierre Oriola had 13, Luke Sikma 12, 6 rebounds and 5 assists while captain Rafa Martinez notched 11 points.

For Khimki Moscow, Alexey Shved had 21 points, albeit with 6/20 from the field. Most of his contribution arrived perhaps too late in the match since after a balanced 39 – 34 first half, Valencia assumed complete control on both ends, taking an 18-point 61 – 43 near the end of the third quarter.

The hosts made every piece of their momentum count preserving this advantage when Dubljevic scored for the 79 – 59 in the mid of the fourth quarter. There was simply no turning back from this margin.
