Lokomotiv Kuban marks its first Top 16 win against Buducnost in Podgorica with 68-62.
Ryan Broekhoff was the leader of the Russian side, finishing the game with a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Zoran Nikolic led Buducnost’s effort with 12 points.
After a tie in the first period (16-16 after 10′), the hosts took charge and outscored Lokomotiv in the second period with a partial 21-8, to lead 37-24 at halftime.
The tables turned once again after the break, yet the margin was close despite the visitors’ comeback. After 30 minutes, Lokomotiv led 50-46.
A tense final quarter followed, with the visiting side keeping an important lead towards the end which helped them seal the game.
