The reigning Montenegrin League champion Mornar Bar has been busy this summer as they prepare the team for the upcoming ABA League and EuroCup season: “We expect more reinforcements. Everybody will be surprised with our playstyle. Don’t be shocked when you get Golden State from Bar rather than Golden State from Bay Area.”, club director Djordjije Pavicevic told Basketballsphere.

Mornar managed to keep Strahinja Micovic, Uros Lukovic, Radoje Vujosevic and Nemanja Vranjes but also parted ways with Derek Needham, their best player last season, who signed with Monaco.

The Montenegrin club didn’t wait long and has already been prepared with potential replacements. They searched overseas and signed Andre Spight, Khadeen Carrington and Winston Shepard.

Spight was a part of Northern Colorado University roster averaging 22.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and assists while shooting 40 percent from behind the arc.

The 23-year-old shooting guard Carrington played in the NCAA last season with Seton Hall averaging 15.6 points, 4.4 assists and 3.1 rebounds. He played for Detroit in this year’s Las Vegas Summer League.

Last but not least, Shepard averaged 9.5 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists with Santa Cruz Warriors in G-League last season before joining Canterbury Rams for the rest of the season. The 25-year-old forward played in Europe with Alba Fehervar back in 2016-17 season.
