Valencia guard Sam Van Rossom was named MVP of Game 2 of the EuroCup Semifinals.

Not only did Valencia Basket seal its ticket to the 7DAYS EuroCup Finals with a brilliant road win against UNICS Kazan, but one of its most experienced players earned the semifinals Game 2 MVP honor. Sam Van Rossom had the highest PIR of all players in winning teams, leading Valencia to a 73-79 win with 15 points on 5-of-5 two-point shots, 1-of-3 three-pointers and 2-of-2 free throws. He added 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 4 fouls drawn for a PIR of 19. Jerome Mordan had the highest PIR in Game 2 of the semifinals but his team, Morabanc Andorra, suffered an 81-87 home loss against ALBA Berlin. Jordan had 17 points on 5-of-9 two-point shots, 7-of-9 free throws, 7 rebounds, a steal, 2 blocks and 5 fouls drawn for a PIR of 23. His teammate Andrew Albicy had 20 points on 5-of-9 three-point shots, 2 rebounds, 6 assists, a steal and 3 fouls drawn for a PIR of 20. Maurice N’Dour of UNICS, with a PIR of 18, and Will Thomas of Valencia, who had a PIR of 17, complete the top individual performances in semifinals Game 2.
