Partizan NIS Belgrade has signed a contract with the ‘Stark Arena’ in Belgrade which will make it the team’s home court for the next five years, starting with the 2019-20 season, the club announced.

This move to the biggest arena on the Balkans will also help Partizan in any future efforts to play the elite European competitions. It might also affect the club’s chances to join the 2019-20 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague as Partizan has been one of the candidates for the wild card. If not, ‘Stark Arena’ will host the 7DAYS EuroCup games for which Partizan qualified as the fourth-placed ABA League team.

“This way, we’ve shown that after the club’s financial stabilization and setting the process, we’re ready for a step further and that we’re able to provide the conditions for organizing matches at the highest competition level in Europe. Everyone knows that the club paid a lot of penalties in the previous period and that puts a big burden on the club’s budget. With this move, we solved this problem and at the same time provided the conditions for the safety of all those who want to watch Partizan matches to be at the highest level. We hope that with our moves, moves like this one, we will be able to ensure participation in the highest quality competition on the Old Continent”, Partizan president Ostoja Mijailovic noted.
