Joventut Badalona entered into new agreement with head coach Carles Duran to extend his contract for another two years, the team confirmed Tuesday.

In February 2018, Duran, 43, joined Joventut to replace Diego Ocampo. In the last 10 regular season Spanish League games that season, he helped Joventut get eight victories to prevent what would have been the first-ever relegation of the team. In the 2018-19 season, Duran led Joventut to the seventh-place of the Spanish League regular season with an 18-16 record leading the team to the semifinals for Copa del Rey and the playoffs for the Spanish League.
