Down with an illness that does not allow him to travel, Zvezdan Mitrovic did not make the trip to Turkey ahead of LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne against Fenerbahce Beko on Tuesday, the French team announced on Monday. His assistant T.J. Parker will assume head coaching responsibilities for the EuroLeague Regular Season Round 19 contest.
Mitrovic, 49, already missed the away game with Real Madrid on January 3rd, but returned to the bench at home against Crvena Zvezda mts on January 10th. His health condition is improving and might even be ready for the trip to Turkey in time for Friday’s Regular Season Round 20 contest versus Anadolu Efes.
