Maccabi Tel Aviv announced that team captain Omri Casspi will undergo knee surgery in the upcoming days. The club doesn’t mention when the Israeli forward is expected to recover.
Casspi traveled to the USA to have his knee condition further evaluated. He had been out since November.
Prior to his injury, Casspi averaged 12.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists and 1.3 steals in 21:14 minutes in his first EuroLeague run since 2008-2009.
Maccabi also announced that guard Nate Wolters shoulder injury and an assessment of the injury is expected in the following days.
