Ljubljana reportedly wants to host EuroLeague’s Final Phase

Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana wants to host the remaining action of the EuroLeague season. According to Dnevnik, the city has embarked on a “serious campaign” to host the final phase hat EuroLeague has in plans for the potential resumption of 2019-2020.

The same report mentions that Belgrade is the “main candidate” to host the tournament. Serbia’s capital, plus Athens, Cologne and Kaunas are all considered by EuroLeague as possible locations where the six remaining regular-season games and a Final Eight may be played.

In the meantime, the players of Slovenian ABA League club Cedevita Olimpija have begun individual practices indoors.

Slovenia has recorded 102 deaths among 1460 coronavirus cases as of Tuesday (12/5) afternoon.
