Dimitris Giannakopoulos captured a video via his Instagram account which seems to show angry Panathinaikos ultras attacking his house.

According to the video, Panathinaikos fans were outside the fence of the house, with Giannakopoulos’ security claiming that some were holding knives. In the video, it looked like they were throwing stones and writing slogans with spray on the outside of the fence.

Giannakopoulos is heard in the video naming some of the ultras, furious about the fact that the attack coincides with the date of his father’s death, two years ago.

According to the Greek police, in total 100 people riding 50 motorcycles arrived at the Giannakopoulos house, which is now guarded by the Greek authorities. When the police arrived on the scene, the people attacking the house had already left and there were no arrests.

Meanwhile, there are reports about an attack by Giannakopoulos and his security earlier in the day on a restaurant owned by one of Panathinaikos Ultras.

Giannakopoulos announced yesterday (June 9) at a press conference that the club is up for sale for a price of 25 million euros and there has been tension among Panathinaikos organization and its supporters.
