After a stellar performance in the Spanish League Final Tournament, Luca Vildoza has most certainly attracted much attention in the transfer market.

However, his father Marcelo doesn’t believe Luca will leave Baskonia – with which he has a contract until 2024 – easily, whether it be for the NBA or another European team.

“He has a high release clause and it would be weird for him to leave Baskonia. Also, he is very comfortable and happy. The city is very welcoming, especially to the Argentinians. And he speaks highly of everyone at the club. The only question is what Baskonia will do to face the economic problems caused by the pandemic,” he said, per Pagina/12, and expressed his proudness. “Not even in my dreams did I think it would come to this. Life is good, I swear to you.”

Vildoza won the MVP of the Spanish ACB League’s championship game. He scored the game-winning layup vs. Barcelona with three seconds remaining while finishing the match with a team-high 17 points (3/5 2-pointers, 2/5 3-pointers, 5/5 free throws), four rebounds, two assists and two steals in 27:27.

Vildoza pushed Baskonia to its first ACB championship in 10 years and fourth overall in the history of the club. He celebrated his first title on a club level.
