Valencia tabbed Martin Hermannsson to a two-year contract with an option for an additional season, the Spanish outlet announced on Friday. Eurohoops previously reported on the Icelandic guard shipping his talents to the Oranges and the ACB.

Hermannsson, 25, spent his last two seasons with ALBA Berlin. His successful stint improved his market value and included his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut. He packed 10.9 points, 4.8 assists, and 1.8 rebounds per match introducing himself to the audience of Europe’s premier club competition over 27 appearances until the premature ending of the 2019-20 season due to the coronavirus pandemic.

At the domestic level, he pushed his previous side to the easyCredit BBL title with 10.1 points and 4.7 assists per contest in the season-ending tournament conducted in Munich behind closed doors. Prior to the hiatus, he posted 13.5 points, 6.8 assists, and 1.5 rebounds per game.

Valencia already powered up by adding Klemen Prepelic and Derrick Williams also kept Louis Labeyrie in its initial approach to the 2020-21 season.
