Martin Schiller is the primary candidate to fill the head coaching vacancy at Zalgiris Kaunas, according to Donatas Urbonas of 15min.lt.

The report notes that the Lithuanian powerhouse started interviewing candidates with the G League Coach of the Year emerging as the first option. If Schiller turns down the offer, Galatasaray Doğa Sigorta boss Ertugrul Erdogan is likely to be presented with the opportunity to take over the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague club.

Other potential options in the narrow search conducted are RETAbet Bilbao head coach Alex Mumbru and former Zalgiris boss Joan Plaza, as previously reported by Eurohoops.

Austrian Schiller has been at the Salt Lake City Stars helm since 2017 and this past season was named G League Coach of the Year. He previously served as an assistant at MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg and the Artland Dragons.
