Maccabi Tel Aviv and veteran center Amar’e Stoudemire have a mutual interest in an extension of their cooperation according to Israeli website ONE.

Stoudemire, who joined Maccabi in January, was pivotal towards the team winning its third straight Israeli League title. The six-time NBA All-Star scored a season-high 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the championship game against Maccabi Rishon, a performance that earned him Final Four MVP.

Shortly before the resumption of the Israeli Winner League, Stoudemire said that he’s thinking about retiring soon due to being far from his family. In later comments after a win over Gilboa Galil, he hinted that he will continue playing.
