Cory Higgins has entered the final stage of his recovery and will start working out partially with the Barcelona squad this week, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The 31-year-old guard underwent surgery on July 6 for chronic plantar fasciitis in his right foot and has been recovering as expected.

His initial recovery time was ten to twelve weeks and he is expected to be ready for the Euroleague tip-off against his former team CSKA Moscow on October 1 while it’s not excluded that he’ll be back earlier for the Spanish League.

Higgins played a total of 48 matches with Barça last season: 22 in the Endesa League (11 points on average), 23 in the Euroleague (12.3 points on average), 2 in the Endesa Super Cup and 1 of the Copa del Rey.
