Barcelona reportedly won’t practice until results of second COVID testing return

Barcelona plans for its whole team to undergo COVID-19 testing twice, on Sunday (October 4) and Tuesday (October 6), and until the results come back there will be no practices, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Spanish team has already postponed this weekend’s domestic league game against Gipuzkoa while their next scheduled match is on the road against Zenit Saint Petersburg in EuroLeague on Thursday, October 8.

That would mean that the squad won’t have any or will manage to squeeze in maybe one practice before traveling to Russia. And that would be in case of negative results, otherwise, the match would be in jeopardy and most likely postponed.

Either way, the team will have to continue its obligations without head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius and his assistant Darius Maskoliunas who tested positive for coronavirus and are in isolation, as is currently the whole team.
