FC Bayern Munich minus Vladimir Lucic dropped LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne, 76-62, Friday evening at the Audi Dome.

Jalen Reynolds pushing up to the end of the match posted a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double. Captain Nihad Dedovic and Leon Radosevic contributed 11 points each in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 13 contest. For ASVEL, Allerik Freeman put up a team-high 12 points.

“We knew that they were one of the toughest teams in the last couple of games. And we prepared,” explained Dedovic, “We changed up our game a little and it helped us. We are happy about the win.”

Building an early lead set the pace for Andrea Trinchieri’s side improving to 9-4 overall and 5-2 at home. A double-digit cushion earned through the solid play on both ends in the first half painted the general picture for the remainder of the match.

“We stopped the offense of a team that was really rolling, scoring a lot of three-point shots,” noted the head coach, “We were good tonight on defense, very good. Down the stretch, we lost a little bit of sharpness but we didn’t get in trouble because we were still playing defense.”

The visitors missing Matt Marsh and Matthew Strazel were struggling in the offense, especially in the first 20 minutes. The loss made out a 3-9 Euroleague record.

“We can’t come in the game like we did tonight. An 8-0 with wide-open shots. And then again too many turnovers,” said the French side’s boss, “They had the lead from the beginning and we never came back.”

A two-game week coming up for the German outlet set to battle Zenit Saint-Petersburg in Russia Wednesday and return to host TD Systems Baskonia Friday. Domestically, an away game versus JobStairs Giessen 46ers comes first Sunday.

The team coached by T.J. Parker is scheduled to welcome Le Portel Monday, and get right back to EuroLeague with two more home affairs, against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv Wednesday and Khimki Moscow Region Friday.
