Crvena Zvezda registers four COVID cases, game vs Zalgiris postponed

EuroLeague announced that the duel between Zalgiris and Crvena Zvezda, which was supposed to be held on February 4th, has been postponed after the Serbian team registered multiple COVID-19 cases.

The club’s announcement states that the number of positives is four but doesn’t specify who they are nor if they are all players. Zvezda last played against Mega Soccerbet in the ABA League on Monday (February 1).

Per EuroLeague Basketball:

The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 24 game between Zalgiris Kaunas and Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade, which was originally scheduled to be played on Thursday, February 4, has been suspended. Crvena Zvezda requested the suspension of the game due to multiple COVID-19 positive cases.

In accordance with the Special Regulations due to COVID-19 in force, each game can be rescheduled or relocated up to three times, if there are available dates. Euroleague Basketball will coordinate with all teams the best options to reschedule or relocate their games. Alternative date or venue will be announced on official Euroleague Basketball platforms once confirmed.
