Fenerbahce returned to wins and got revenge from Zalgiris Kaunas for their Round 15 defeat with a big 84-61 victory in Round 30 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, which forced the Lithuanian side to one of its worse defeats in club history.

Jan Vesely paved the way for Igor Kokoskov’s squad with a game-high 21-point performance, along with 10 rebounds and 5 assists, Nando De Colo added 16 points and 6 assists and Dyshawn Pierre had 12 points.

“I’m happy with how we played defensively and offensively… Today we showed that if we play our game, we can win easy. This season is weird in a way, a lot of players were out and coming in, but with this win, we have a good chance to make the playoffs”, said Vesely after the win.

The Turkish side improved to an 18-12 record at a crucial point of the regular season ahead of the playoffs and has now won 13 of its last 15 games. After getting ahold of their visitors and keeping them at just 8 points in the second quarter to enjoy a 45-26 lead at halftime, Fener never looked back and kept expanding its lead in the second half.

Marko Guduric returned to action after remaining sidelined with some ankle issues to add 9  points for the hosts and Lorenzo Brown posted 8.

On the other end of the court, Zalgiris slipped its third straight game with its worse defeat of the season, to fall to a 15-15 record. Thomas Walkup added 11 points for Martin Schiller’s squad and Marius Grigonis followed with 10 points and 8 assists.
