Jan Vesely fined by EuroLeague

Fenerbahce Beko big man Jan Vesely was fined with 4,500 by EuroLeague Basketball due to “actions that represent a lack of respect towards the officiating crew” during Game 3 of the playoffs against CSKA Moscow.

Vesely was ejected early in the second half of the game after receiving his fifth foul, a technical following his protests for a call. Fener lost 85 – 68 and was swept.

Per EuroLeague Basketball:

Euroleague Basketball has announced the following disciplinary sanction pertaining to incidents that occurred in Game 3 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs.

• Mr. Jan Vesely, player of Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul has been sanctioned with a fine of €4,500 for actions that represent a lack of respect towards the officiating crew on occasion of his club’s home game against CSKA Moscow on April 28, 2021 under Article 27.2.b) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
