Anadolu Efes head coach Ergin Ataman asked for the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four championship game against FC Barcelona to be broadcasted on open TV. His wish was granted via Turkey’s Ministry of Sports, as announced by Efes on Sunday, a few hours before the tip-off (20:30 CET).

“We will be competing in one of the most important matches of Turkish basketball at the club level,” said Ataman, “We would like our fans to attend, but it was not possible under the health and safety restrictions. I met with Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoglu, our Minister of Youth and Sports, and asked for his support in all of Turkey being able to watch. He truly loves basketball. Fortunately, his personal involvement led to the broadcast on the open channel. Thank you, Mr. Minister.”

The game will be available on the open channel of BeIN Sports.
