After debuting in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague as a member of Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, Chris Jones gears up for a second season in the competition with LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne. The French team announced his addition for the 2021-22 season on Tuesday.

Jones, 28, logged 7.0 points, 2.8 assists, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.9 steals per game in his first EuroLeague campaign. At the domestic level, he had 11.8 points, 4.4 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per Winner League appearance.

“We are very happy that Chris has chosen to join us,” said head coach T.J. Parker, per the press release, “We have been following him since last year. He is a capable playmaker with great passing abilities who can also score when necessary. That makes him very complete in the offense. On the other end, he can defend positions ‘1’ and ‘2’.”

Kostas Antetokounmpo, Dylan Osetkowski, Elie Okobo, Raymar Morgan, and Victor Wembanyama were already confirmed to the growing list of ASVEL newcomers. Also, David Lighty and Antoine Diot have penned a contract extension.
