Nemanja Nedovic has been ruled out of the Panathinaikos OPAP game at Crvena Zvezda mts, scheduled to be held on Thursday.

Nedovic, 30, has been dealing with a left adductor strain, medical exams confirmed Tuesday. He is considered day-to-day, but will not play against his former team in the upcoming Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 8 fixture and is likely to miss more games after Panathinaikos returns from Serbia.

The Serbian guard, going through his second season at the Greek powerhouse, has put up 9.4 points and 2.0 assists per EuroLeague match. Domestically, he is up to 9.8 points, 2.3 assists, and 2.0 rebounds per Stoiximan Basket League contest.

Barring a last-minute setback in Belgrade, Greek head coach Dimitris Priftis will be able to rely on the healthy players traveling to Serbia’s capital. The goal is to finally win on the road after four losses in a row to start the 2021-22 EuroLeague Regular Season. “Since we have not yet won away from home, this is a must-win game for us,” noted Daryl Macon Jr. before boarding the plane for Wednesday’s flight.

As for Crvena Zvezda players out, former Panathinaikos forward Aaron White has yet to be cleared for action after the broken forearm suffered in a prep game win versus his former team in September. Also, Nikola Ivanovic has been sidelined since early last week with an illness.

Both the Greens and the Serbian club are currently sitting at 2-5, tied in 13th place of the standings with Fenerbahce Beko, Anadolu Efes, and ALBA Berlin.
