Fenerbahce BEKO announced that Marial Shayok has been diagnosed with a shoulder injury, which he’s suffered during practice, and that he will be re-evaluated after four weeks.

Fener has also been missing Nando De Colo, Jan Vesely, Danilo Barthel and Devin Booker for various health-related reasons.

Meanwhile, both the Turkish team and Euroleague announced that Fenerbahce’s Round 21 game against ALBA Berlin has been suspended. The Germans requested the match postponement due to COVID cases and the local legislation requiring the squad to isolate.

Per Euroleague Basketball:

The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 21 game Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul vs. ALBA Berlin, originally scheduled to be played on Friday, January 14, has been suspended. ALBA requested the suspension due to local legislation imposing quarantine measures on the team after several team members tested positive for COVID-19, which leaves the team without the minimum eight players on the Authorization List fit to play.

Following the Special Regulations due to COVID-19, approved by the ECA Shareholders Executive Board, each game can be rescheduled up to three times, if there are available dates. Euroleague Basketball will coordinate with the affected teams the best options to reschedule the games. Alternative dates will be announced on official Euroleague Basketball platforms.
