Heurtel and Thompkins are “free to go” from Real Madrid

Despite the fact that Real Madrid can’t add any new players to their EuroLeague roster, the club has informed Thomas Heurtel and Trey Thompkins that their days in the Spanish capital are ending.

As the Spanish website “Encestando” reported and Eurohoops sources confirm the players are not part of the team anymore and they are free to go before the end of the season.

Both players were not used in the game against Bayern Munich and when asked on the issue coach Pablo Lasso said that it was a “technical decision” to not include them in the active roster.

It has to be noted that this turn of events creates an issue in the point guard position for Real Madrid with Sergio Llull, Alberto Abalde and Nigel Williams-Goss left to cover it.

According to the “Encestando” report, Guerschon Yabusele was also fined for unprofessional behaviour.
