Olimpia Milano announced Friday that guard Malcolm Delaney will miss the next two weeks of action after suffering a muscle injury to his abdominal wall during the second half of Game 2 against Anadolu Efes in Milan.

Delaney, who averages 9.4 points, 2.8 assists, and 2.5 rebounds across 28 EuroLeague games this season, will remain sidelined for the remainder of the series and his status will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Adding up to Delaney’s injury, Sergio Rodriguez has also suffered a sprain on his left ankle during Game 2, which will be further evaluated in the coming days, per the team’s announcement. Ettore Messina’s squad will also lack Nicolo Melli, who’s been ruled out for the playoffs due to an injury to the medial twin of his right leg.

“You could see coach Ataman correctly smiling, he was not even upset. He knows that the series is almost over. We are probably playing without four or five players in the next games”, admitted Messina in his post-game quotes Thursday night.

Olimpia Milano tied the series against Efes in Game 2 Thursday and will next travel to Istanbul for Games 3 (April 26, 19:30 CET) and 4 (April 28, 19:30 CET).
